Bank Zachodni WBK is a socially responsible institution. Our Corporate Social Responsibility manifests itself through charity, financial education as well as interaction with the environment we operate in and customers.
BZ WBK Foundation
Bank Zachodni WBK Foundation, set up in 1997 (previously operating as “Pomoc Ludziom” Foundation), is the organization that supports the charity, cultural, educational and social care activities. For several years now, the Foundation has been distributing also IT hardware to schools and other institutions as the bank exchanges the IT hardware into the new one on an ongoing basis. For the institutions that have received it, this hardware constitutes invaluable educational and practical aid.
Since 2004, the Foundation’s greatest effort and financial commitment is concentrated on delivering charity actions within the Bank of Children’s Smiles program, aiming at enhancing the social environment of children from poor and/or unemployed backgrounds that are the charges of various care and educational centers, associations and foundations.
BZ WBK staff believe that charity actions delivered by the Foundation will enhance social conditions of poor children and also bring a broad smile to their faces many a time.

One of the tenets of customer care and responsibility in Bank Zachodni WBK is the assurance of unrestrained accessibility to our banking service. Through our “Obstacle Free Service” programme, we are committed to ensuring invariably positive experience on the part of disabled customers, regardless of the point of contact they choose, be it a branch, telephone, the Internet, or an ATM.
Disabled customers can take advantage of a number of facilities that make their daily banking convenient. Our bank:
- is free of architectural barriers,
- is equipped with modern ATMs that have features providing for the specific needs of sight impaired persons,
- operates e-banking services, BZWBK24, that were awarded a certificate acknowledging their accessibility to sight impaired customers.
2009 brought the activation of an interactive platform, called “The Bank of Ideas” via which customers can post their ideas about improving banking services. The most interesting and the most popular ones are picked up for further consultation in the bank. They are subsequently implemented if viewed as beneficial. We believe that open and reciprocal communication is a means to align our services with customers’ needs even better.
